BFG Happy Hour - Thursday at O'Faolain's

In case you're not one of the thousands of people I've tried to lure to this event, or if I've tried but so far failed, let me tell you...

Bloggers for Good is having it's inaugural happy hour Thursday night at O'Faolain's in Sterling (facing Regal Cinema, with the red awnings) from 6-8 p.m.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A BLOGGER TO ATTEND; you merely must tolerate being near them. Since you're reading this, I assume that you already have a passable threshold. If you are a blogger, you're in luck, because you'll have some fabulous bloggers there to talk to, including our featured bloggers, Dan Sousa, Tammi Marcoullier, and Erica Garman, and many more.

Our goal is to use the power of the blogosphere to bring people together. Along the way we'll raise some money for our local food pantry, Loudoun Interfaith Relief.

Picking up leaflets tonight at Loudoun Interfaith Relief hit home with me. There are lots of people in Loudoun who can't feed their families. What better cause can there be for raising a glass?

To end on a lighter note, here are some rejected, but arguably better taglines than "Networking with a higher purpose."
"Be a blogger, or just drink like one!"
"Blogger? I don't even know 'er!"
"BFG. It's a BFD."
It's well accepted that I'm wittier and generally more tolerable after a drink or two, so join us tomorrow.

Hope to see you there!
